Sorry, David Brooks, but wars in which hundreds of people are killed are not purely psychological. Andrew Sullivan takes a more sophisticated look at the war in Gaza here.

While I appreciated Andrew Sullivan's efforts to apply just war principles to the Gaza situation, I side with the notion that modern (assymetric) warfare is just not amenable to that kind of analysis. To his credit, Sullivan seems to acknowledge this in his essay.
